Charanga Musical School
An award-winning music platform to support music teaching and learning in your school.

New for 2023

We're building on the success of our two-year school support program provided in partnership with the South Australian Department for Education’s Music Education Strategy.

Highlights of what’s new for 2023 include:

  • Schemes with week-by-week lessons, plus units to pick and choose from for greater flexibility.
  • A more extensive Instruments section, including 'First Notes to First Band' for school ensembles.
  • YuStudio — a teacher and student-friendly online music studio with ‘Create with YuStudio’ projects covering Hip Hop, Grime and film composition. Ideal for older students.

Accessing Charanga from 2023

From 2023, schools will be responsible for purchasing their Charanga platform licences directly from Charanga. Pricing is designed to be accessible, and South Australian schools benefit from a 20% discount on the national licence fee.

Our Partnership

Charanga is delighted to continue working in partnership with the South Australian Department for Education to provide a program of free Professional Development, and the 2023 Celebration Song Event.

Mark Cardy

I'm delighted to introduce you to Charanga's online music teaching and learning platform: the result of years of work by a team of education, technical and enabling experts united by a passion for music.

Charanga is transforming music teaching and learning in schools around the world, and this website showcases the extensive range of resources and creative tools provided by our award-winning Musical School program.

But it's only when you see young people fully engaged in making music that its real impact on learning becomes clear. I hope you'll explore the platform with your classes and witness that firsthand.
