New for 2023
We're building on the success of our two-year school support program provided in partnership with the South Australian Department for Education’s Music Education Strategy.
Highlights of what’s new for 2023 include:
- Schemes with week-by-week lessons, plus units to pick and choose from for greater flexibility.
- A more extensive Instruments section, including 'First Notes to First Band' for school ensembles.
- YuStudio — a teacher and student-friendly online music studio with ‘Create with YuStudio’ projects covering Hip Hop, Grime and film composition. Ideal for older students.
Accessing Charanga from 2023
From 2023, schools will be responsible for purchasing their Charanga platform licences directly from Charanga. Pricing is designed to be accessible, and South Australian schools benefit from a 20% discount on the national licence fee.
Our Partnership
Charanga is delighted to continue working in partnership with the South Australian Department for Education to provide a program of free Professional Development, and the 2023 Celebration Song Event.
Building on our work together over the past three years, I am delighted that Charanga is working with the South Australian Department for Education’s Music Education Strategy to help achieve its ambitious 10-year vision. With a host of Professional Development Workshops to be scheduled again this year, I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible soon.
