What is Charanga?
- Charanga is an online music education resource designed to help generalist classroom teachers confidently deliver music education in their classrooms using the latest educational technology.
- The resource does not assume any prior musical knowledge.
- Charanga content is contextualised for South Australian primary school educators and provides additional resources, training and everyday support to help enhance classroom practice – including a vast, customisable library of premium music resources, topics, songs, productions, instrument courses and creative apps to engage students.
Our Partnership
We continue to work with the South Australian Department for Education’s Music Education Strategy. Following the success of our two-year school support program, we’re updating it for 2023.
Accessing Charanga from 2023
From 2023, schools will be responsible for purchasing their Charanga platform licences directly from Charanga. Pricing is designed to be accessible and South Australia schools benefit from a 20% discount on the national licence fee.

Professional Development
Charanga will support the Music Education Strategy Team in providing Professional Development opportunities for teachers as well as providing its own PD directly to schools.
Celebration Song Event
While the details are to be confirmed for 2023, Charanga will work with the Music Education Strategy Team to continue the annual Celebration Song event.
